The Candidates:
Peggy Muller-Aragon is the incumbent for District 2, currently serving as the School board’s Vice President. She has served on the APS school board since 2015 and hopes to continue her long tenure as District 2’s board member. She is being supported by the group “Moms for Liberty,” but has not publicly accepted the support.

Ronalda K. Tome-Warito is attempting to dethrone the incumbent Peggy Muller-Aragon. Ronalda has done work for Jefferson County schools advocating for special education students in addition to her work for Parents of Indian Children with Special Needs (EPICS). Ronalda has been endorsed by the Albuquerque Teachers Federation (ATF).

Adrian Nogales is the third candidate running for District 2. He is currently a teacher
at Tres Volcanes Middle School. He has previously run for ATF president against current president Ellen Bernstein. He has centered his campaign around safety and the bilingual stipend for educators.

Hey thanks for informing Cougar country about the election. I was a regular sub at Cibola in 2008 and 2009 and know the campus well.
