APS is asking you, the voter, to approve a $350 million bond to fund the construction, maintenance, and upgrading of multiple educational facilities across the district. They stress that this bond will not effect taxes. The money will go towards finishing previously stalled construction projects at 13 schools, a new career technical education facility, a special needs facility on the Westside, and security improvements across the district.
This issue will appear on the November 4th ballot. All registered voters living in APS’s district are eligible to vote. Early voting has already started as of October 18th.
You can read more about this bond from the Superintendent’s newsletter or from the Albuquerque Journal.
