Fun Things to Do in ABQ this Spring Break

Baby+gorilla+from+the+Albuquerque+Zoo.
Baby gorilla from the Albuquerque Zoo.

Despite being known for having almost nothing to do, our home city of Albuquerque, New Mexico does have fun things to offer, especially if you aren’t looking to spend a whole lot of money, or any money at all.

  • The Albuquerque BioPark – To get into the zoo and the botanic gardens/aquarium, it costs $10 for New Mexico residents to get into each (botanic gardens/aquarium are sold together), or to do all three, it costs $16.
  • Explora – Suitable forĀ allĀ ages, it costs $11 for people ages 12 and up
  • ABQ Museum of Natural History – People ages 13-17 get in for $7 and people ages 18 and up get in for $8.
  • Open Spaces – Albuquerque has many pieces of land to explore and they are completely free to get into.
  • Old Town – Old Town has so much to offer, with shops, restaurants, and general things to see. People like to drive their old cars through the center and it is very entertaining to see.
  • Frisbee Golf – If you have frisbee golf disks, you can go to Roosevelt Park (located behind Milne Stadium) at no charge, and they have course to follow.
