How to prepare:

  • Focus more studying on classes that you struggle the most in or will affect you the most if you fail the final. There are sites that help you calculate how a final will affect your grade if you bomb or pass. here are a couple: https://rogerhub.com/final-grade-calculator/ https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/statistics/final-grade-calculator.php
  • Once you feel like you are confident  with your hard classes, study for your other classes.
  • Do things that calm you down; it could be listening to music or just putting on some noise canceling headphones to help you focus. Relaxation is one of the best ways to make sure you dont panic or overthink the test, so do anything you can to relax.
  • Get blood flowing. Stretching, exercise, a short walk, getting blood flow around your body and especially to your brain is important for thinking. Doing this before you head off to school will be very beneficial.
  • Eat breakfast. Eating breakfast is good for your brain and good for giving you energy so you can do your best.
  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep. Sleep is also important, and at least 8-10 hours of sleep is necessary for energy and proper functioning.
  • Take advantage of Cheat Sheets if your teacher allows them.

Good luck-you’ve got this!
