Cibola will welcomed its newest staff member – Ms. Kim Finke – last Thursday. Ms. Finke is coming to Cibola after four years at Whittier Elementary School. She started her career as a principal at Jefferson Elementary in Gallup, New Mexico then went to work at Gallup High School as a principal. Ms. Finke then began her career in Albuquerque Public Schools at Corrales Elementary School; once again as a principal taking Corrales from an F ranking to a B. She was then asked to become principal at Whittier Elementary School.
Ms. Finke has already started her new term at Cibola by introducing herself at the open house on 8-24-2023. She began her full duties as principal on 8-31-2023 after meeting with the School Senate. She will be taking over for Ms. Pamela Myer who is retiring after 9 years leading the Cibola Cougars.
